MCKEE BOTANICAL GARDEN, 350 U.S. 1, Vero Beach, 794.0601, www.mckeegarden.org

Readers say McKee Botanical Garden has everything going for it: Lush vegetation along winding pathways, sculpture exhibits that light up the eyes of adults and children, special events, a cafe and gift shop, the quirky building by Waldo Sexton called the Hall of Giants and his Spanish Kitchen. The garden rates 4.5 stars on TripAdvisor and has hundreds of glowing reviews. The Lego sculptures by artist Sean Kenney on display for the entire season are almost certainly a big part of the reason the garden was named best tourist attraction this year. His larger-than-life sculptures were at the garden two years ago and drew the largest crowds the garden ever had. Now he’s back with new sculptures and for a longer period of time. The garden is home to the beloved annual Holidays at McKee with the large-scale model railroad, the car show and the Fairies and Pirate’s Day for little kids.

"So Florida! Beautifully kept and very natural."

"This is a great spot for young and old to get close to nature and history."

"Something for everyone."
