Whether you are arriving by land or sea, outdoor restaurants on the Treasure Coast abound. Here are some readers and staff selected in our summer outdoor dining contest.

CAPT HIRAM'S, 1580 U.S. 1, Sebastian, 388.8588, hirams.com

Capt Hiram’s is a local landmark, popular with boaters who love to cruise in and tie up right outside the restaurant. With a full service marina, docking assistance and boat slips for guests, it’s an ideal place to go.

Once docked, guests can continue the waterfront ambiance by getting a table on the riverfront deck. Been out catching fish? Bring yours, filleted, in to the restaurant and they’ll cook it for you. You have a choice of grilled, blackened, broiled or fried.

Try the tropical jerk chicken, fresh catch of the day, Asian tuna nachos, dirty oysters, steamed Sebastian littleneck clams, or a Maryland jumbo lump crab cake sandwich on a potato roll.

“Easy easy access from the Intracoastal Waterway. Plenty of dock space and right up by the restaurant. The only place with a transient dock, deep water, AND a full team to assist with docking.”

“Hiram’s has a full service marina and dock staff on hand every day to help you dock your boat. Cruise the Intracoastal and then stop by the Capt’s for a bite to eat.”
